Chartering

A strong fleet

Competition in the global charter market is very fierce. A fundamental prerequisite for successful chartering out in this market is ships of a high technical quality that can be used
universally. Chartering out has for many years been more than just a “business transaction”; in particular the shipowner also has the task of offering his customers, the liner shipping companies, solutions to problems. Long-term performance
of the ships, ongoing contacts with the charterer and transparency in information policy are the basis for a co-operation in an atmosphere of mutual trust, especially in times
of weaker market trends. From the very beginning, the Hansa Mare ships have earned themselves a good reputation through high performance, which has again and again been underscored by numerous renewals of the charter contracts.

With our 50 % shareholder, Hanseatic Lloyd, we have a competent expert at our side who implements the wide spectrum of tasks involved in chartering out our fleet very successfully. The current size of the fleet with ships between 1,054 and 4,038 TEU enables the Hansa Mare Reederei to achieve high market coverage. In this way it is possible to offer major liner shipping companies tonnage for universal use across the individual ship sizes for all important operating areas throughout the world. A decisive advantage in the intensely competitive charter market.

Permanently on the market

To supplement the detailed overview of the market as a whole, for many years now Hanseatic Lloyd Chartering has been carrying out in-depth research work in the form of an internal database. Here all global newbuilding activities and important information with regard to charters concluded for container vessels are listed and constantly updated. The result: A comprehensive overview of the newbuilding and charter market as well as of the structures and developments of the container liner services and thus an exact picture of current requirements.
